# LocalStack

> LocalStack is a local cloud development platform. It gives every developer, AI agent, and pipeline a cloud-quality sandbox, isolated from the cloud, so teams can build, test, and debug AWS, Azure, and Snowflake applications on their own infrastructure, faster than the cloud allows.

LocalStack isn't an emulator or a mock. It's a local cloud development platform: production-grade cloud services that run on a laptop, in CI, or inside an agent's workspace, with no cloud account, no cloud bill, and no risk to production. Use it to develop against cloud APIs locally, run integration and end-to-end tests in CI/CD, validate infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, Pulumi), and give AI coding agents a safe cloud to work in.
